The Baker

FROM SKY TO KITCHEN

My name is Jassie. I am a flight attendant. Baking is what I like the most when I’m on day off. My first baking experience was on my vacation while traveling to Paris last year. It has inspired me a lot when baking with Parisian. I always dream to own a petit cafe where I can share my joyful and happiness to people. 

我是Jassie,一名在职空姐。每当休假,我最喜欢在家里烘培糕点。第一次的烘培经验是去年旅游巴黎时和当地的巴黎人学习烘培,我从他们的身上学会了法国的味蕾艺术,同时也激发了我的烘培梦想,希望有朝一日可以拥有一家小咖啡馆,和大家分享我的喜悦。

 

The Culture

Another names for French pound cake is Weekend Cake or Travel Cake. What a lovely name for such a simple dessert. Both of them are translated from french “Cake Week-end” and “Gâteau de Voyage”. The cake structure is firmer and less fragile, it's ideal for a 3-4 days trip, or a weekend friend gathering dessert.

生活是一份蛋糕。除了能为节日增添气氛,其实更可以是一份祝福和分享。磅蛋糕适合3至4天短程旅游,或周末和闺蜜相聚的糕点。所以法国磅蛋糕有另一名称是翻译自法文的“Cake Week-end”周末蛋糕和“Gâteau de Voyage”旅游蛋糕,非常漂亮的名称。
